Lumsden Hill

When you drive Lumsden hill often, the scene as you enter the valley is gorgeous . . . . and, sometimes, just sometimes, a train comes rolling through the valley as you drive down the hill.   No, I did not take the picture.  I threw my phone to my passenger and said, “Quick, quick, take the picture before the train turns the corner!”.  I chose to paint this piece in an impressionist style, almost like a piece of stained glass.  I really like how this turned out.  It’s a classic scene for us southern Saskatchewan and beach-going types.
