Blue Bird Cafe & Red VW Van

It’s so much fun to paint the Blue Bird Cafe – such an iconic landmark in southern Saskatchewan.  This is the fourth one that I’ve completed, I believe.  Time for a VW van in front of the Blue Bird Cafe, right?  I really like how the red van explodes from the blues, yellows and whites of the Blue Bird Cafe.  I painted an oak picture frame with glossy black and had it matted in a concrete grey.  I chose to take the glass out, as the artwork has alot of texture that would be lost if it was behind glass.  Hurrah for those who love VW vans!!!!
