Stone Barn at Last Mountain Lake with Seagull

As a kid on the farm, I looked to the ground to collect unique colours, shapes and textures of rocks for my prized rock tumbler.  Last Mountain Lake’s well-known “Stone Barn” brought back childhood memories of rock collecting.  I used a small palette knife to carve in stucco-like texture between the rocks.  And, I painted a curious seagull in the window frame.  I like using windows and archways to depict a picture within a picture.  Enjoy!
