Butterfly Cream Swallowtail

While out walking my dog on the trails, I would contemplate what to paint next.  As is often the case in life, the answers came . . . . everywhere I looked, I saw the most amazing butterflies.  While this swallowtail was not one I saw, I Googled around and this one just came popping up for me.  Fun to paint and simply pretty and peaceful to look at.  Just for fun, I put a black mat around it, followed by an antique white wooden frame – Wow, did that make it pop!  (Note:  mat and frame not included in the sale price; just a mock-up of what it would look like framed)
