Wood Duck Autumn

When I instructed an after-school drawing program at Massey School, I often visited with the janitor as I was setting up for my class.  He provided me with a photo of a most incredible wood duck sitting on a large fallen tree – his past time was nature photography, obviously.  When I first started painting, I was using oil paints rather than acrylics.  While fumbling for subject matter I came across this photograph.  Enjoy.
