Geisha and Cherry Blossoms

$725.00

Back in the mid-80s I was on a Lions Youth Exchange to Osaka, Japan.  My first host family gifted me a kimono.  My host mother was a Japanese dance teacher.  Every morning, I was dressed in my kimono and taught the Cherry Blossom dance (sakura).  Having recently returned from a trip where the cherry blossoms were in bloom, I was reminded of my love of kimonos and cherry blossoms.  Some interesting embellishments in this piece – palette knifed cherry blossoms, heavy gloss gel for the black hair, and gold india ink for the hair pieces.
