In the middle of July, we were biking along the rail bed near Regina Beach, SK. Off to our left along the shoreline came a home-made pontoon boat with seven people on board. I say ‘on board’, because the boat was towing a seadoo behind and a couple of people were being dragged/towed in front. They were in front, I imagine, to level out the pontoon. . . lol. Regardless, the scene screamed party boat. If I was invited, you know that I would have been on that boat . . . heck, I would have dropped my bike and swam out. For the painting, I chose to lose the sea-doo and in-water passengers, just because it didn’t quite fit. Quite often at the beach, I hear the term “it’s the beach way”, which always makes me smile because it sort of means “rules schmooles, we just do it our way; repercussions come what may”.
